The minimum deposit required to open a current account at BAI Europa, as a Private Client, is EUR or USD 250 in the case of a BAI Europa Account, and EUR or USD 50 in the case of a Minors Account. You must guarantee the initial deposit in order to use your account. The Basic Banking Services Account has no minimum deposit required.
Opening an account is completely free. A monthly maintenance fee of €5.20 applies. This fee is waived if you subscribe to and maintain one of our Term Deposits.
You may close your BAI Europa account at any time, free of charge, at our branches, with your account manager, by submitting the account closure form. If there are no impediments, the bank will close the account within a maximum period of one month.
Holders of a Basic Banking Services Account may contract additional products and services not included in the basic banking services, such as term deposits, savings accounts, cheques, home loans, credit cards, and more. The terms for these products and services will be the same as those applied to other clients of the relevant credit institution. However, holders of a Basic Banking Services Account cannot contract overdraft facilities. Credit institutions may only allow the Basic Banking Services Account to be overdrawn in connection with transactions made using a debit card.
Once the child reaches the age of majority, they must regularise the account and update their details. They will be required to present all documents necessary for account opening as outlined in the "Account Opening Requirements – Individuals" document.

No, BAI Europa Directo does not provide access to BAI Angola accounts. While both banks are part of the same banking group, they operate independently, with separate systems and account structures.
Previously, separate logins were required for individual and business accounts. With the new Internet Banking platform, all your accounts are accessible using a single login. Once logged in, you can easily switch between accounts for viewing or management.
To make the switch, log into the new platform via your computer or mobile phone. Select the ‘Switch Account’ option and follow the instructions. You’ll need your existing user code and password (you may use any of your logins, if you have more than one).
