BAI Europa Bank will never ask for personal or confidential information via email, phone, or any other means of communication.
Attackers use emails, phone calls, and SMS messages to steal credentials or gain access to a victim's device.
If you receive an unexpected or suspicious email or SMS:
- Do not open the email or SMS, or click on any links, until you have confirmed with the sender that the email or SMS is legitimate and was indeed sent by them.
- Do not respond to the email or SMS.
- Do not keep the email or SMS on your device once it has been identified as fraudulent.
If you receive a suspicious phone call, do not provide any personal or confidential information.
If you suspect a possible contact or a potential compromise of credentials, you should contact us immediately.
Do not disclose personal or banking information
Do not disclose your details to anyone, even if they identify themselves as a BAI Europa Bank employee.
Memorise your codes and do not record your information where it may be accessed by third parties.
Verify website legitimacy
Always verify if the website's URL matches one of the following:
Banco BAI Europa official Website: https://www.bancobaieuropa.pt/
BAI Europa Directo: https://iam.bancobaieuropa.pt/
If you come across a fake website, where the URL and its overall appearance may closely resemble the official website, take the following precautions:
- Ensure that the URL address of the website starts with "https://".
- Check that the site has a valid and secure certificate assigned to "bancobaieuropa.pt".
If you encounter a fraudulent website, contact us immediately.
Always log out of BAI Europa Directo
To protect your account's integrity, we recommend always logging out manually using the "Logout" option.
Although the system automatically terminates sessions after a period of inactivity, there is still a risk that potential intruders may attempt to use an active session during this time in your absence.
Avoid Using Public Computers or Networks to Access BAI Europa Directo
