BAI Europa Bank will never ask for personal or confidential information via email, phone, or any other means of communication.

Attackers use emails, phone calls, and SMS messages to steal credentials or gain access to a victim's device.

 

If you receive an unexpected or suspicious email or SMS:

  • Do not open the email or SMS, or click on any links, until you have confirmed with the sender that the email or SMS is legitimate and was indeed sent by them.
  • Do not respond to the email or SMS.
  • Do not keep the email or SMS on your device once it has been identified as fraudulent.

If you receive a suspicious phone call, do not provide any personal or confidential information.

If you suspect a possible contact or a potential compromise of credentials, you should contact us immediately.

If you come across a fake website, where the URL and its overall appearance may closely resemble the official website, take the following precautions:

  • Ensure that the URL address of the website starts with "https://".
  • Check that the site has a valid and secure certificate assigned to "bancobaieuropa.pt".
