Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from the Portuguese Catholic University (2003) and a Technical–Professional Course in Computerized Accounting at CESAE – Porto, Portugal (2000). Training in Risk Management from the BAI Academy (2014).

Background, History, Banking/BAI Experience

Irisolange Menezes began her professional career in 1998 as a cashier at Jumbo in Porto, Portugal. Four years later, she entered the banking sector, joining BAI as a customer service assistant. After eighteen months, she was promoted to branch coordinator. In mid-2005, she took on the role of financial analyst, and in 2008 she established and led the Back Office Department within the same Directorate. From 2011 to 2015, she served as Deputy Director and, later in 2015, was appointed Director of Financial Markets.

She went on to hold the position of Director of National and International Operations, followed by Director Coordinator of the Financial Markets Directorate, the Commercial Support Directorate, and the Marketing Directorate.

Irisolange Menezes Verdades has been an Executive Board Member of BAI since 2018 and concurrently serves as a member of the Remuneration Committee of Nossa Seguros, S.A., as well as Managing Partner of Empreendimentos Angolanos de Hotelaria, S.A.

Since 2026, she has also been a Non-executive Board Member of Banco BAI Europa.
