Background, History, Banking/BAI Experience
Miguel Costa Santos began his professional career in the banking sector in 1994. He started at Grupo BCP as a Promoter, later becoming an Account Manager and Wealth Manager, responsible for managing client accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction and investment profitability.
He later joined Banco Espírito Santo, where he held increasingly senior roles. Initially an Executive Consultant, he was promoted to Regional Director and subsequently became Central Director, leading a national team of 400 people and overseeing 300 branches within the affluent client segment.
At Novo Banco, he was responsible for managing the private banking division, also as Central Director.
In 2020, he became Coordinating Director of the marketing and commercial department at Gamalife, S.A., an insurance company, where he worked for three years. In 2023, he took on the role of Country Manager for Portugal at Corum Investments, a French-origin real estate asset management company. In 2025, he became an Executive Director at Banco BAI Europa.
