Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI) was recognised as “Best Bank with Digital Solutions in Angola” and “Best Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises in Angola” in 2023 by British magazine Euromoney.
BAI’s success in migrating clients to digital platforms, alongside its broad range of digital products, including digital integration, instant microloans, QR code payments, and international transfers, earned it the “Best Bank with Digital Solutions in Angola” award.
Furthermore, BAI’s impressive growth in the SME sector, which saw its client base reach 88,584 in the first half of 2023, contributed to the “Best Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises in Angola” award.
Luís Lélis, Chairman of the Executive Committee of BAI, commented on the distinctions: “BAI will maintain its commitment to innovation in payment methods and digital channels, alongside a strong focus on digital and financial literacy.” He also highlighted the importance of continuing to support the growth of the SME sector, a vital driver of economic diversification and national growth.
