We were present at the 39th edition of FILDA – Luanda International Fair.
Our Commercial Director, André Morgado, and Manager João Costa attended the 2024 edition of FILDA, Angola’s largest international trade event. The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing business relationships, forge new ones, and connect with our parent company BAI, the event’s official bank.
In addition, BAI Europa participated in the 7th Angola | Portugal Business Networking Meeting, organised by the Portugal-Angola Chamber of Commerce, and attended a meeting between Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and the Portuguese community in Luanda.
During the Prime Minister’s visit, 12 agreements were signed between Portugal and Angola, covering finance, internal administration, and economic affairs. It is also worth mentioning the signing of the financing contract for the Chicomba water dam project, in the southern province of Huíla. This project, which received €65 million in financing, was formalised between the Banking Union and the Republic of Angola. BAI Europa acts as the agent bank and lender for this financing.
