The role of green hydrogen in the energy transition

Last Monday, BAIE welcomed José Campos Rodrigues from the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Hydrogen, who shared insights on the role of green hydrogen in the energy transition.

This initiative reflects our commitment to Sustainability and Social Responsibility, through which we aim to provide internal training sessions to deepen our understanding of this crucial topic.

During the session, we learned that hydrogen is a viable path to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and reducing the risks of climate change. Green hydrogen, produced using only renewable electricity and water, is a promising solution for this energy model.

This approach could address specific demands, particularly in the mobility sector. At the European level, the Hydrogen Bank has been established to bring this solution to market at competitive prices, challenging fossil fuels.

We extend our thanks to Engineer José Campos Rodrigues and the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Hydrogen for their engaging presentation and valuable insights.
