We Visited the Douro Solar Park, a solar energy project under development by our client Zagope.
Last week, the BAI Europa team visited one of Zagope’s ongoing projects in the Douro region. Located in Vila Chã da Beira, this initiative involves the construction of a 149 MWp photovoltaic solar energy park.
The Douro Solar Park, scheduled for completion in mid-2025, is expected to generate approximately 234.5 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually, enough to power around 78,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by about 35,000 tonnes per year. This project reflects Zagope’s commitment to sustainability and its focus on the solar energy market.
BAI Europa is supporting this endeavour by financing the investment in the fixed structures required for the project.
