Today we celebrate World Environment Day!
In recent years, BAIE has been strengthening its commitment to governance principles, sustainability, and the integration of climate and environmental concerns into its activities.
As part of this, we have promoted the following initiatives:
February 2024

Clothing donation campaign in partnership with Comunidade Vida e Paz – 80 kg of clothing were collected;

For the 3rd consecutive year, two merit-based scholarships were awarded to economically disadvantaged students from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon.

Volunteering on food distribution routes, in partnership with Comunidade Vida e Paz, supporting people experiencing homelessness.

Tree and shrub planting initiative at the Botanical Reserve of the Mata Nacional dos Medos, in partnership with ICNF (Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests).

Purchase of “perfect Christmas stars” from Associação Salvador, distributed to all employees.

Donation of funds and goods to Associação Humanidades: Humanus, aimed at children and mothers in need of shelter.

Donation of clothing, food, and school supplies to Academia do Johnson, following a collection campaign among BAIE employees.
In addition to these initiatives, BAIE’s sustainability commitment is also reflected in our focus on mental health, our vehicle fleet, reduction of non-recyclable items, use of renewable energy, and both internal and external communication efforts, among others!
We believe that greater social and environmental responsibility from everyone is essential to ensure that BAIE continues on the right path – becoming a greener and more inclusive institution!
