Today, 10 October, is World Mental Health Day.
At BAI Europa, we place great value on our commitment to mental health and other areas related to corporate social responsibility.
We believe addressing mental health is essential for keeping our team motivated and improving their quality of life, which in turn enhances professional performance.
To mark this occasion, we share the following habits that we consider vital for maintaining overall well-being:
• Prioritise sleep – Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night. A good night's sleep helps regulate metabolic functions and restores physical and mental energy. Poor sleep can negatively affect emotions and mood and, over time, contribute to mental health issues.
• Exercise regularly – Physical activity boosts relaxation and well-being, improving mood and reducing stress. Just 30 minutes of exercise per day can provide these benefits.
• Practice meditation – Meditation leads to physical and biochemical changes that can alleviate stress and anxiety. Sitting comfortably for 5 minutes, breathing in and out through your nose, and trying to clear your mind is enough for a successful meditation session.
• Cultivate positive relationships – Happiness is rooted in the quality of our relationships. Try to foster healthy, positive relationships and spend time with the people you care about most.
• Engage in hobbies – Everyone has an activity they enjoy, whether physical or not. It is important to set aside time for this activity and take moments to unwind and relax.
• Walk outdoors – Walking is a simple way to relax and relieve stress. If possible, walk in green spaces, as being in nature enhances relaxation and helps improve your mood.
This World Mental Health Day, will you consider adopting any of these habits?
